Our Slack workgroup is called: PHS Data Users (☞ how to join a workgroup)
We have several channels dedicated to answer your questions about our infrastructure (☞ how to join a channel). These channels are monitored by our staffs at the Stanford Population Health Sciences (PHS), Stanford Research Computing Center (SRCC) and Redivis team.
We also have data-specific channels to answer your specific questions regarding our datasets:
It is a courtesy to spend a bit of your time searching for a past conversation in Slack before typing your question in the channel. It will save both of our time!
:: GUIDELINES FOR POSTING A QUESTION ::
A) Be as specific as you can in describing the problem or formulating a question.
B) NEVER post a screenshot of the data on Slack due to privacy and security concerns.
C) Be respectful of others (☞ see Stanford Code of Conduct)
The PHS Data Portal is powered by ☞ Redivis and we will refer to ☞ the official documentation for more details.
We provide PHS Office Hours for a direct consultation. An appointment is required and can be made through Calendly app ☞ https://calendly.com/phsdatacore/
Please be aware that we don't always have many slots for the office hours due to our limited resources, and therefore this option is the slowest way to get your questions answered. The Slack channels are the quickest.
It is also important to note that we don't accept research-specific questions (e.g., how a method works, how to implement formulas in code, how to do the data analyses, and so on). Please refer these questions to a bigger audience.
Appointments regarding Sherlock and Nero (including the Nero demo session) can be made through Calendly app that you can pick from the following link ☞ https://calendly.com/srcc-officehours
